This Privacy Policy explains what information PodIQ (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using PodIQ you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address. We use passwordless “magic link” sign-in, so we do not store passwords.
- Usage data. We record how you use the product — searches run, profiles revealed, and plan limits — to operate features, enforce fair-use quotas, and improve the service.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) and a single session cookie used to keep you signed in.
How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and secure the service.
- To authenticate you and remember your session.
- To apply usage limits and process any paid subscription.
- To respond to your requests and send essential service notices.
- To analyse aggregate usage so we can improve PodIQ.
Podcast data & contact details
The podcast information in our directory — titles, publishers, categories, episode details, and contact emails — is compiled from publicly available sources such as podcast RSS feeds and public catalogues. Audience figures are estimates modelled from public signals and partner data and are clearly labelled as such. If you own or represent a podcast and would like your contact details or listing updated or removed, see Contact.
Cookies
We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time, but doing so will sign you out.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run PodIQ (for example, email delivery and, for paid plans, our payment processor), and only as needed to provide the service or comply with the law.
Data retention
We keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details on our Contact page.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
